I did some logging and it seems like something goes wrong with SSL switched on. I would be happy to test SABnzbd with default settings, but I have limited knowledge of SSH, so if it is needed to test with default settings, can someone give me directions in how to make a backup of the sabnzbd.ini file and removing the necessary files from the appropriate folder? Username/Password: as I use an XS4ALL connection Hostname: newszillaxs4allnl (without brackets) QKPG version 210401 (installed via Sherpa) I have asked OneCD on the QNAP forum, but he refered me to this forum. I have removed the hostserver and added it again, but the problem remains. Also, Sickgear on my QNAP works fine too and is sending nzb-files to SABnzbd. At first I thought there was a problem with my internet connection, but SABnzbd on my laptop works fine with the same server settings. When I test the newsserver on the server config page I get an error message stating that the hostname is invalid.

Now, as a nzb-file is imported, the download shows up in the queue, but it doesn't seem to start. Works like a charm. After updating the SABnzbdQKPG on my QNAP TS-119P II SABnzbd stopped downloading files. I can literally access the WebUI of my Router, in order to "wake up" devices on my network remotely. (I use DD-WRT on all of my Routers, (regardless of manufacturer)). Some 3rd-Party Router Firmware such as Tomato or DD-WRT support a WebInterface to aid in this regard. See the Links at the bottom of this Wikipedia article for more information.

There are plenty of free WOL clients available for many platforms, including both Windows and MacOS. Over-the-Internet Wake-in-LAN is a little tricky to setup, as you typically need to know the "broadcast address" of the recipient LAN, in order to ensure that the "magic packet" actually reaches the correct device.

Getting it working, involves setting up Port-Forwarding on your Router, so that the WOL "magic packet" can be directed "through" your Router to your NAS. It is already possible to support WOL over the Internet.

May be it must be secured by VPN or any encryption.Ĭurrent QNAP models already support WOL. Frank_Toronto wrote:here is a feature i would like Ī Wake On Lan function, not only on a local network but also through the internetconnection all over the world.
